In 2018, when the Farm Bill cracked the door open, B.j didn’t wait for an invitation. At 26, he left Southwest Florida with a duffel, a notebook, and a mission: learn the plant from the people who grow it best.

For the next two years he lived out of rental cars and cheap motels up and down the West Coast—100+ farms and extractors, harvest after harvest. He studied soil, curing rooms, extraction rigs, and the difference between “good enough” and dialed-in. More importantly, he built relationships with cultivators who treat hemp like a craft.

When delta-8 caught fire in 2020, B.j used it as a launchpad—not a destination. Rootz Hemp went live with a promise: clean inputs, transparent COAs, and flavor-forward genetics picked by growers, not marketers.

The moment the market allowed it, Rootz pushed into THCA flower—the expression B.j had wanted from day one. That’s when the vision snapped into focus: boutique-quality flower, federally lawful, shipped nationwide with the same standards the road taught us to demand.
